Bryce Hemme leads Architecture and Cloud Engineering at Granular, and in this role, Bryce is responsible for the technical vision and strategy of Granular’s digital ag platform.
Prior to his current role, Bryce led several software engineering aspects of DuPont’s initial commercial ag software business including the development of advanced systems for precision agriculture and the commercialization of computer-simulated modeling of crop growth to aid in farm management decisions and boost yields.
Bryce has also previously held engineering and leadership roles at Principal Financial Group and Wells Fargo and has served as a cloud computing consultant to numerous early-stage companies.
He has been featured in Amazon Web Service’s “This is my Architecture” video series, has spoken at national cloud computing and dev ops conferences, and is an active contributor to several open-source projects.
Bryce holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a major in Management Information Systems and a minor in Computer Science from the Tippie College of Business at the University of Iowa.Talk: Impact of Software in Agriculture
